I just finished reading Anu Partanen’s The Nordic Theory of Everything, which I highly recommend to anyone who has not had the pleasure so far. Will it depress you? Probably. But will it also give you hope for the future? It sure did for me. 

In addition to being a wonderful book, The Nordic Theory of Everything gives me a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate the importance of branding and structure for author sites. 

Clear, impactful branding is essential to any website that does not want to be forgotten in the noise of today’s world; just look at how much $$ big corporations invest in their brand! Meanwhile, well-structured websites gently and intuitively guide visitors toward a specific action - such as purchasing your novel or scheduling an author visit. It’s when strong branding and an optimized structure work together that websites have their largest impact.
