In short, this call is all about you. We’ll chat about your literary aspirations, answer any questions you have about the design process, and ensure you’ve selected the right experience to fit your needs. Sit back, get comfi, and allow the magic to commence!

Step 3. Book a Design Slot!

After our chat, I will share my available design dates. A 33% deposit reserves your spot!

FAQ

  • How do I confirm my design dates?

    Your initial one-third deposit is what holds your design slot. Until the one-third deposit is paid, all design dates are open to other clients. Once you send the deposit, the slot is yours!

  • How long does a project take?

    Two (2) weeks for the Comprehensive Showcase Experience and one (1) week for the One Page Dream Experience. For both, we will begin on a Monday and wrap your project up on the relevant Friday.

  • Can I pay in installments?

    Payments are automatically divided into three installments. The first is your 33% deposit to hold your design date. The second payment of 33% is due by our project start date, and the final 33% is due on the last day of our design period, just before we launch your site.

    When you pay your deposit, you will have the option to select autopay for your second and third installments to make things easier!

  • Which Squarespace plan do I need?

    Which plan depends on what features and functionality you want on your website. I’ll help you pick the best plan for you when we get on our launch call on the first day of the design period.

    As an extra perk of working with me, a Squarespace Circle member, you’ll receive 20% off your Squarespace plan for the first year when you choose the annual payment plan!

  • I hear Squarespace uses templates. Will you pick the template or do I?

    Update: Squarespace 7.1 templates now contain all functionalities built-in, meaning you no longer have to choose a template!

  • What are my responsibilities during the design slot?

    During your one- or two-week design period, the most important thing you can do is be available via email. While there is a call on the first and last day of your project, I will be emailing you throughout your design period for edits, opinions, and clarifications.

  • When does my content need to be ready?

    In order for us to make the most effective use of our time together, you will need to submit all content by the Thursday before your design period.

  • Eeeek, I don’t think my content will be ready in time! Can we push my design date back a couple of days?

    To be fair to you, and every other client in my design calendar, I stick firmly to my design schedule. All my clients would be upset if I pushed back their design date because a client earlier in the schedule wasn’t ready.

  • I need photos for my site. What are the sites you recommend for stock photos?
